For work, the company rented This is the Place for their company picnic. We had a fun day of crafts, food, and cowboys!
The kids are eating gummy worms here. They were acutally suppose to be making an arrowhead necklace, but they have their priorities.
Emma got to try to rope this bull. She was dang cute trying to get the rope to go the way she wanted. She almost smacked that cowboy helping her out a few times.
Here we are riding the train. Yippe-ki-yi-yea!
Emma and Aden got to learn how to plow. They actually got pretty good.
Emma is bending a nail on this contraption.
Bryson on stilts.
My Dad took this seriously and was doing some serious weeding for the garden.
The candy cannon was a hit. (It wasn't at the rondezvous.) They had people standing around with baskets full of candy if it didn't make it to every kid. BRILLIANT!! Aden is putting it in his holster.
In the dugouts, they had some Native Americans talk about their lifestyle then and now. This man said his grandma still lives in a hut like this one. She has a futon, fridge, and TV too.
Cowgirl Kate. (Getting a little tired.)
Howdy. Some kids would yell out to Aden, "Hi Woody!" He didn't like that, but he did wear part of the costume. (Thanks Megan, Laura, and Nova!)
Emma. She looks like a puppet here to me. Someone said she looked like Jessie.
It made her happy.
Square dancing with Grandma.
Enjoying some of the free snacks. We love kettle corn.
Carding wool.
"This is the place, drive on!" We love it here! We ended up spending 5 hours there, and didn't get to do everything. They had so much to do, eat, and see. What a good day.
