Thanksgiving and Family Party

For Thanksgiving we drove to San Diego to spend time with Michael's side of the family. The weather rocked and I really like the family so it was worth the drive. We decided on Friday to check out the Midway.

Kim (MIL), Michael, and Aden walking towards the"island."
I thought this was appropriate since Aden has hit his terrible two's. He is DANGER and proved that to me while I watched him so Daddy could go on a tour of the "island." He threw a fit that I had never seen before, and I got looks from people like I was killing him. This tantrum included the screaming and kicking we moms know and love. I think I could have killed him after about ten minutes of his freak out. I was close to tears.

Trying out the seats. Aden was having a good time with Daddy. Emma stayed at
the house with cousins.

This was Kate's face pretty much the whole time. She did eventually fall asleep, but this was not her thing. (Or mine, but we love Daddy, and he loves airplanes and big boats.)

Aden and Michael in some kind of airplane. Michael could tell you. I have no idea.

I finished my advent calender. I love it, but decided to add more tabs to the top and I need a thicker and longer piece of wood to hang it from. But I wanted to use it this year with the kids so this is temporary. We pull out a scripture, story, song, candy, and part of a nativity each day. They look forward to it every night and I love it.

This last Saturday, my parents threw a fun neighbor/family party. Santa came!
Emma was thrilled, and nervous, she totally forgot what she wanted for Christmas!

Aden refused to look at him. He was there for the stocking and candy, and then
he was off that knee!

Kate pulled the beard. Pretty far too, but Santa recovered quickly.

I'm really into Christmas this year, the magic has since came back because Emma totally gets the concept. It's all about the kiddos!
